My Wee Beasties

Itsy-bitsy spider,
went up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,
And the itsy-bitsy spider went up the spout again.

I don't have a good poem for bats.

Halloween

I miss Halloween. I mean, I miss it being the event it once was for me. Now, it's an event for my kids. (Pictures Pending) But back in my.. ahem.. wild days, it use to be the bestest time ever. OMG! I met my wife at a Halloween party 25 years ago today. Hmmm... maybe that's what scarred me. ;-) I was wearing red stockings and.. nevermind. The point is I use to be all-in when it came to Halloween.

What to be this year? My first choice is already taken. Morningbel got the last Paris Hilton costume from Party City. And is it just me, or does M look a lot like Kate Hudson? Well, at least when blonde. (And welcome to the club.)

My next choice was going to be the Burger King, but since he came out (not that there's anything wrong with it...) just to appeal to alternative lifestylers, I couldn't follow through. I am still unresolved over artist being in it for the money, i.e., more than just for art's sake.

Last year, I embarrassed my wife greatly by putting on a black robe (yeah, I had a black robe just hanging around) and using an aluminum colander as a helmet to take my boy around the neighborhood. Yup, when it comes to my costume choices, don't ask/don't tell is probably the best policy.
